In My Backyard

Welcome to In My Backyard music camp. We provide a productive summer vacation for music students in a relaxed musical environment. Camp 2012 is for those who already play violin or guitar, privately or at school, as well as for those who would like to find out what playing the violin or guitar might be like. Cellists are also encouraged to join us.  We have two grand pianos and can offer piano students time to play as well.

We follow the pattern of the good old days of playing in the backyard, music wafting out the windows. Each student has a schedule to provide structure, but no school bells will ring, so classes may go on to a proper conclusion. These are days of freedom to follow an interest, playing games and playing music.

In My Backyard music camp provides music instruction and playing opportunities, a chance to learn new skills and enjoy past accomplishments, individually and in groups, both in music and dance.

We have a limited enrollment  of mixed ages and playing levels. It is like a one-room schoolhouse, but we have plenty of space, inside and outside. In addition to the faculty, we have assistants to help with the Fun and to be sure each camper has plenty of attention.
